Automotive & Battery Water

Renew Labs Automotive & Battery Water is deionized water made in Houston, Texas for the jobs in your garage, shop and fleet that tap water quietly makes worse.Flooded lead-acid batteries in golf carts, forklifts, floor scrubbers, solar banks, boats and RVs lose water every time they charge. Topping them off with tap water adds calcium, magnesium and iron that coat the plates over time. Renew Labs Battery Water is deionized to remove those minerals, so every top-off adds water and nothing else.Cooling systems have the same problem. Mixing antifreeze concentrate with hard tap water brings in minerals that can form scale in radiators and heater cores. Renew Labs Radiator & Coolant Mixing Water gives you a clean, mineral-free base for a 50/50 mix, reservoir top-offs and the final rinse after a system flush.Pick a 1 liter bottle for the glovebox or a single cart, a 1 gallon jug for routine maintenance, or a 2-pack or 4 gallon case for fleets, shops and solar installs. Every jug has a resealable cap and use-specific directions on the label. Not for consumption. Wear eye protection and gloves when servicing batteries, and never open a hot radiator cap.

Automotive & Battery Water FAQ

What kind of water goes in a car or golf cart battery?

Use deionized or distilled water, never tap water. Battery makers such as Trojan warn that tap-water minerals build up on the plates. Renew Labs Battery Water is deionized for flooded lead-acid batteries. See our car battery water guide.

Should I add battery water before or after charging?

After. Charge first, then top off each cell to the level in your battery maker’s manual. Filling before charging can make electrolyte overflow. Wear eye protection and gloves. Details are in our battery water guide.

Do AGM or maintenance-free batteries need water?

No. Sealed AGM, gel and maintenance-free batteries are not meant to be opened or refilled. Battery water is for flooded batteries with removable cell caps, common in golf carts, forklifts, floor scrubbers, boats, RVs and solar banks. Learn more in our battery guide.

Can I use deionized water to mix coolant?

Yes. Renew Labs Radiator & Coolant Mixing Water gives antifreeze concentrate a mineral-free base for a 50/50 mix or the final rinse after a flush. Follow the coolant maker’s ratio, and never open a hot radiator cap.

Which size should I buy?

Pick a 1 liter bottle for a single battery or the glovebox, a 1 gallon jug for routine top-offs, or a 4 gallon case for fleets, shops and solar installs. Cases lower the price per gallon.
